Hearty Chicken with Peas & Potatoes

INGREDIENTS

2 Lb. chicken pieces

2 large potatoes

3 garlic cloves, chopped.

1lb. frozen green peas

2 Tbsp. olive oil

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

1/2 tsp. turmeric

1 large onion, chopped.

TO MAKE

Place oil, spices, garlic and chicken in a pot and cook to brown a few minutes.

Add chopped onions, cook for another 10 minutes.

Add frozen green peas.

Cut potatoes to cubes and place on top of chicken.

Add water to pot, about a half of the Hight of the pot. Cover & bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer and cook covered 30 minutes, uncover & cook for another 20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
