1 large green cabbage

1 cup of cooked rice

5 oz. ground meat(I mixed turkey & beef)

6 garlic cloves, chopped

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. Baharat spice mix (see recipe in spices mixes, or you can buy it ready on my Amazon shop)

1/2 tsp. ground cardamom.

2 cups water

For the sauce-

2 tsp. of pilpelchuma (see recipe in spice mixes)

14 oz. crashed tomatoes

2 Tbsp. vegetable oil.

Place the cabbage in hot water for 5 minutes, then start to peel off each layer gently, set aside.

Add all spices to the meat and mix well.

Add the cooked rice to the meat, mix well.

Use scissors to cut out the stem in the middle of the cabbage, to get two leaves.

Deep one leaf in hot water to soften it for the folding.

Scoop out one scoop of the meat mixture and place on a leaf of cabbage.

Fold in the two sides of the cabbage leaf and than roll it to a small log.

Place the cabbage log in a wide pan and secure it to the wall.

Repeat with all other cabbage leaves, make sure that one side of it is secured by the wall.

Add all other rolls in the middle to help secure the rolls from opening.

Add the water.

Bring to a boil.

Add 2 tsp. of pilpelchuma to a bowl.

Add tomatoes to the bowl, mix well.

pour over the cabbage rolls, reduce heat and cover. simmer for one hour.
