Borekas Potato& caramelized onions in Phyllo Dough

INGREDIENTS 

1 package of Phyllo dough

2 potatoes

3 onions

3 Tbsp. vegetable oil

1 bowl of vegetable oil for brush

2 Tbsp. sesame seeds

1 egg for brush

How to make

Peel of the potatoes skin, cut to cubes and cook in water for about 30 minutes, let it cool.

Mash the potatoes, set in a bowl.

Chop the onions add oil and cook to brown while the potatoes are cooling down.

Add salt & pepper to the cooked onions, mix well.

Add the mashed potatoes to the onion mixture, mix well, let cool completely.

Open the Phyllo dough, brush each Phyllo dough with oil & repeat with 6 Phyllo dough.

Transfer the potato mixture to the Phyllo dough, set it on the short side of the phyllo dough.

Fold in the two sides of the phyllo dough to avoid leaking, then roll the filling like a log.

Brush the log with egg, sprinkle with sesame seeds, bake at 374 F for about 30 minutes.

Serve warm, crispy and fresh.
