Yaffa’s Sephardic Charoset For Passover

INGREDIENTS

😊All ingredients are Kosher and can be purchased on my Amazon Kosher shop except perishables items: -

1/2 cup dates.

1/4 cup raisins

1/2 cup prunes

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup walnuts

1 Tbsp. rose water.

1 cup sweet red wine or grape juice

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1/4 tsp, cardamom

1/8 tsp. dry ginger

1/4 tsp. cloves

one slice of candied orange, chopped.

I added 1/4 of my candied orange to enrich the Charoset. (see recipe for candied orange)

TO MAKE

Place all nuts and spices in a food processor, mix to grind.

take out the pit from all dry fruits, chop small.

Add dry fruits wine and rose water to food processor, mix well to grind to a coarse paste.

Transfer Charoset to a glass serving dish.

Decorate the Charoset with chopped candied orange

Make a lot of this charoset, it is so delicious, if you have leftovers use them as a filling for a cake roulade or cookie balls.
